Susan “Gigi”Levine

Susan Levine was born in Poland in 1924. She had a large family that she unfortunately lost in the war when Poland was invaded by the Nazi’s. She is a Holocaust survivor and after the war was able to build a beautiful life when she met Zigi Levine in post war liberated Germany. They migrated to the United States to start a new life together and to achieve the American dream. They settled down in Brooklyn NY and had two children, Max and Ellen and from those children had 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Gigi was known for her wisdom, her honesty, her love, but most of all her soup. She was beloved for feeding everyone she met, cooking and hosting her loved ones and their friends and family. Her small apartment in Brooklyn seemed to fit a hundred people as we would gather and celebrate the holidays together. She loved her family so much and she was so loved by anyone who knew her. We hope this Mimorial page will always keep her memory alive forever where we remembered her the most ♥️
